Denise Dunlap

Denise has a record of successfully building and operating companies as well as coaching startups and entrepreneurs. Two of her former roles include CEO of an IT services company and Director of a university’s business incubator. She has been an active angel investor and leader in the angel investment community since 2008, including serving as an instructor for the Angel Capital Association’s Education Program. Denise is passionate about increasing diversity and innovation in entrepreneurship and early-stage investing.

Denise co-founded Loon Creek Capital Group in 2010 and has grown the company to provide consulting and administrative services to angel investors across the country. She also co-founded Sage Growth Capital, a venture capital firm that makes revenue-finance investments in early stage growth companies, and serves as the Managing Partner. 

​

Denise holds a BBA from Boise State, a first-degree black belt in Shaolin Kung Fu, is a certified Wrangler/Packer, and makes a wicked prickly pear margarita.

As the Director of Client Services, Michelle is committed to ensuring exceptional client satisfaction and fostering strong relationships. Michelle oversees the client services team, guiding them in providing high-quality support and addressing client needs. Her duties include skillfully managing client interactions and overseeing all investment-related activities.  Michelle plays a crucial role in helping investors to deploy and manage their capital efficiently.

​

Michelle has extensive experience as a business and accounting manager and as an entrepreneur.  Her previous roles include over 10 years as an Office Manager at an auto dealership and 7 years owning/operating a daycare business.

​

Michelle finds the greatest joy in moments spent with her husband, three children, and their family dog.

Katie Gagnon
Director of Marketing and Operations

In her role as the Director of Marketing and Operations, Katie aligns marketing strategies with overall business operations. Katie manages and optimizes daily business processes and systems by overseeing the development and execution of strategic planning, process improvements, and technology integration. Simultaneously, on the marketing side, she develops marketing plans, branding initiatives, and promotional activities. She also serves as the lead for our Fund clients.

Katie holds a BBA from Washington State and is a licensed Realtor in the state of Idaho focusing on Commercial sales, leasing, and investments.

​

Katie loves all water-related activities including fishing, wake surfing, and spending time on her boat with friends.

Kevin has extensive experience as an entrepreneur, academic, executive and angel investor. Throughout his career he has been passionate about entrepreneurial ventures and financing. He is an active angel investor, is past President of the Boise Angel Alliance, and a past member of the national Board of Directors of the Angel Capital Association where he was the Founding Chair of the Education and Smart Practices Committee.

​

Prior to co-founding Loon Creek Capital Group, Kevin served as the co-founder of Learned-Mahn, VP of the Rain Fund Program for RAIN Source Capital, Associate Dean of College of Business and Founding Director of Venture College at Boise State University, President of the College of Idaho, and CEO of The Network Group. Kevin has an extensive list of civic leadership positions including Past District Governor for Rotary International.

He holds degrees from Yale (BA), Wharton (MBA) and Texas Tech (Ph.D).

Kevin enjoys being a Grandpa to his 6 grandchildren and traveling the world with his bride.
